    March fishing XLS hpe needed

hi guys , i was sent this spread sheet by an old mate, i think he got it of here
it works well for me BUT I need some help with an issue

so in fishing mathes if you dont weight in Known AS DNW you should get the lowest value points ( 1 )
the current spread sheet gives points from first down to ten fishing i cant get it to give 1 point to anyone that has DNW
so idealy i want to be able to type DNW into the LBS column and for it to assign 1 point to that person even if five are fishing, currenelty that angler gets 5 points which is wrong

all advice and help gratfully received

I think this is what you mean. Change the formula in E4 to

    =IF($B4="DNW",1,IFERROR(VLOOKUP(RANK($D4,$D$4:$D$300),INTERIM!$A$2:$B$11,2,TRUE),""))

How many points for someone who took part, but caught nothing?

Does DNW mean that "I took part, but I caught nothing" or does it mean something else?

Are you looking for a maximum 10 ranking numbers (from 10 down to 1, and DNW's counting as 1)... and if 6 people take part, with one DNW... 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 ,1

EXPECTED results for a all possible scenarios make it easier for us to provide answers. There are at least two possible scenarios.

    1. 5 people taking part, 1 DNW

    2. 12 people taking part 1 DNW

If the offered solution does not work... provide expected answers for BOTH of the above scenarios in an Excel file.

Hi so DNW = Did not weigh that means they took part but either caught nothing or left early and they get one point for talking part

OK. I think this does it. Refer to sheet 1. If it is OK, all the other weekly sheets can be similarly treated.

HOWEVER, you did not explain what happens on a weekly sheet for ties. Is what I have done OK?

I can then probably HUGELY simplify the overall sheet.

    1. Convert the table to a range.

    2. Delete ALL expected results for weight and rank.

    3. In D4 (no copy paste needed):
