Save as PDF a selection of cells - Not working

Hi,
i am trying to save only a selection of cells as a pdf but instead is saving entire sheet.
Trying all kind of solutions but nothing is working
Maybe someone here is more advanced in using excel and may help me.
When i go to print, the preview shows me also entire sheet not just the selection. I tried different excell files, opening a new one, so on
I am using Excel Standard 2010

Excel 2016:
When you save as pdf, there's an 'options' button at the lower left of the Save As dialog. Did you select the "Publish what: Selection" option?
