    Check for escalation after consultation

    Hi All,

I have a set of Data which includes thousands of rows like those listed below:

Case ID Summary Create date Subscriber ID
    HD0000000576495 CR: Compliments 4/01/2011 52064730
    HD0000000576780 CR: Consultation 4/01/2011 64465750
    HD0000000576730 CR: Consultation 4/01/2011 50355684
    HD0000000576763 CR: Customer Issue (direct) 4/01/2011 74880147
    HD0000000576702 CR: Escalation 7/01/2011 50355684

I wish to be able to see if a membership has done anything apart from CR: Consultation after the first instance of CR:Consultation for that membersip number? For example i wish to see if a member has had to escalate (CR: Escalation) after already having had a consultation (CR: Consultation).

Guideance with this one would be most appreciated.

    thanks,

    Brent

hi Brent, welcome to the forum. not sure i understood it correctly. Please check the attachment & comment. basically, if the summary cell is "CR: Consultation", i'll show it as blank. if not, i'll search if the subscriber ID has "CR: Escalation". If it does, it'll return "Y" & "N" if it does not.

Re: Check for escalation after consultation

Thanks for your reply benishiryo. Not sure it does exactly what I am after. To be honest what I want might be too complicated.

The summary for a case can be any of the following:
    CR: Customer Issue (direct)
    CR: Compliments
    Cr: Consultation
    CR: Customer Request
    CR: Escalation
    CR: PHIO AR
    CR: PHIO Dispute

I want to be able to see if for a subscriber id there has been any of the above summary's used for the subscriber id after a consultation has already occurrred?

    thanks for your help

Re: Check for escalation after consultation

hmmm i made the formula lookup for something other than "CR: Consultation". also created a fictitious record to show "CR: Customer Issue (direct)". is this better? maybe you can manually key in the file the desired results you want & see if we can do it
