Match names and dates from source data

Please review the attached file and I need help, "ISNUMBER, MATCH, OFFSET" formula working fine on attached file but as an improvement I am trying to export calendar from share point to my data input (sheet1, row 28 onwards). The exported dates have time included, therefore need help to alter the existing formula. This was originally posted on http://chandoo.org/forum/threads/mat...ce-data.12287/ but no response yet so any help from this forum is appreciated.

Re: Match names and dates from source data

Hi all, in case above details not clear please note, if you check the "view" sheet the formula from C4 to AG20 enters "X" when it matches the name in B4 of "view" sheet and >= start date and <=end date from sheet 1 B3 to C26. Instead of comparing data from B3 to C26 i want this to compare date from exported table which starts from row 28 in sheet 1, hope this makes sense, any help is highly appreciated, thanks

since you're using Excel 2007, you can use COUNTIFS. try this in C4:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

just to confirm since you did WEEKDAY(C$3,1)<6. your weekends are Fri & Sat? if your weekdays are Mon-Fri, you should use:
    WEEKDAY(C$3,2)<6

if your weekday is indeed Sun-Thu, then you're safe. WEEKDAY(C$3,1)<6 is the same as WEEKDAY(C$3)<6

Thanks a lot benishiryo, at a glance it is working partially, for example if I select month Aug it should show Jannifer, Susan and Carol but it showing X for Jennifer and Susan only, anyway I will check in details and get back to by Sunday, thanks so much, have a great weekend
