Re: how to do advanced filtering

    Your list needs headings.
    • Insert a row above your data
    A1: Title
    B1: Dates

The destination area must use the same headings as your data
    C1: Title
    D1: Dates

    • Select your data A1:B160
    • Data.Advanced
    ...List range: (already selected)
    ...Check: copy to another location
    ...Check: Unique records only
    ...Copy to: Select C1:D1
    ...Click: OK

    Does that help?

To use Advanced Filter you to add heads to the columns
Since your data begins at row 1 you need to insert a row at the top and label it let's say Column1 and Column2 respectivly.
Go to Data, Advanced section and select Copy to another location and check Unique Records only. In Copy to: click on cell E1
