    Filtering and averages, sums

    Evening guys,

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I have a column of numerical values. At the bottom of the column I have various formulas (sums, averages, count ifs)

Is there any where to make it so that if I filter another column it will effect the formulas? Currently when I filter other columns it has no effect on the formulas.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Have you checked out the =SUBTOTAL() function using the function numbers 101 and above?

Incidentally you might find it more useful to have totals functions above data that's being filtered rather than the traditional position below a range.

Thanks, this is a little 'over my head'. Have you got any suggestions of guides I look at for this?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Have you tried the standard Help feature you get when using the formula builder?
