Conditional Formatting based on 2 cell values

    Hi All,

Hope you can help me with what probably is a simple formula for many of you experts!

I have made a simple calendar with formula's and underneath each date there are rows which give appointment details, whether it requires a "design" engineer or "manufacturing" engineer and a "yes" or "no" to show if that day requires a visit.

All I need to do is:

Turn the cell a green colour if it contains the word "yes" and if it requires a design engineer
Turn the cell a blue colour if it containts the word "yes" and if it requires a manufucturing engineer

    Much appreciated.

The best way to present this type of question is to attach your file, and manually set the colors to show what you want the result to look like.

This will be easy to do with conditional formatting. Set up one rule for green and one rule for blue for the cells that you want to color, and use a formula that evaulates to TRUE if the cell contains "yes" and if it requires whichever type of engineer.

I can't give you the actual formula because I have no way to know how to tell if a cell requires a design engineer or a manufacturing engineer.

    To post a file:
    1. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button.
    2. In the next screen look above the reply box and click the "paper clip" icon. You will get a pop-up screen.
    3. In the pop-up, click Add then Select to select a file from your local drive
    4. Click the Upload button to upload the file
    5. Click Done to attach it.

It will be displayed as an attachment underneath your post text. Alternatively as the last step you can click the Insert Inline button and a hyperlink to the file will be inserted directly into your post text in the spot where your cursor is set at the moment you click the button.
