Unhappy Cell to Change Colour when I over type

    Hello,

Please could someone help with a code, I need to change the cells in my spreadsheet from black to red when I over type them. So that I recognize the change. I am a newbie and have absolutely no VBA coding experience.
    Appreciate any help

    Thanks

What does "over type them" mean?

Re: Cell to Change Colour when I over type

I am sending data to another person, and if they change the text in the spreadsheet and send it back, I need to know which cells they have amended. For example I have all my staff working in Manchester, I send this to another manager and he see that some of my staff actually work in London so he changes Manchester to London. I need to know of this change hence why it would be good if they automatically type over my data it changes to a differently colour so i can track changes made.

Well you can just turn on Track Changes and it will do what you are asking. (Review Tab --> Track changes)

it will flag the cell, and tell you who changed it, and what it's previous value was.

I can write some code that nearly simulates that, but i think Track Changes will suit your needs, unless you say otherwise.

I have just read about track changes, but for my project I ideally would like to see the highlights that stand out in front of me as there could be a possible 1000 changes made if not more. If you have a code that could change the writing to red? I would be most appreciated.

Thanks John, that's exactly the code I would have suggested.
