Inputing Data into a Website Search Form

    Hi all,

I have a column of UPC codes in Excel (in column A1) and I'd like to input one at a time on Nielsen's Soundscan website in order to bring back number of sales for that particular UPC. Instead of inputting the UPC code into the IE page search box, it just puts the word "undefined".

Here's the sequence of events that work so far:

    1. IE opens, navigates to website
    2. Website has a number of things you can search by, so it changes the "searchby" dropbox to "UPC"
    3. At this point it should look at my range, (column A1) in Excel and input my first UPC code, however it fills out "undefined" instead.

This is my code so far:

And here is a screen cap of what you see on the website with the "undefined" where my UPC number should be:

I can supply more info like the source page if needed, just let me know! Thank you!!

Giving this guy a bump since it's been about 9 days since I posted it. Still struggling to get it to work and not sure what I might have wrong. The only problem so far is in the process of grabbing the first UPC number from my column in A1 and putting it in the search box on the website.... hopefully someone can toss a bone here! Thank you!

    Thanks, mc84excel

I think I managed to get it to work. I'll be the first to admit I'm a noob when it comes to VBA and I'm obviously "Frankenstein-ing" code together that I'm finding along the way that seems to work, so if it's ugly that's why but this seems to do the job now:

My next struggle is to find a way to properly "click" a javascript button on the page to submit my search but that'll be another struggle / another day if I can't figure it out myself first. Thanks!
