What can I do to write a macro that would find all index formulas and copy and paste their values across all worksheets in a workbook? I have a find all macro but can't develop it since it errors out when trying to copy unlinked cells. This will be for a lot of workbooks so can't be written for 1 specific workbook.
You want to find all index formulas and replace the formula with the results of the formulas?

Yes, that is correct. Index is just one example but I don't want to change my master files but don't want any formulas that do references to my personal workbooks. The issue is that there are formulas that need to stay since they are affected by the recipient. I just used Index as an example but it will be consistent in the workbooks I place the macro in so all I would need to do is change the search word and it would update the macro.
Try this and we can customize it if necessary.
It excludes the first sheet so that you can copy that sheet if you want to run the macro again.
Unfortunately it is not working on my computer. I'll play around with it once I have time to see if there is a solution.
Your profile shows you have Excel 2010, the same version as I.
Is this the case and are you on a PC?
You open the file enable editing and macros and run the macro and what?
Not working is generic. Doesn't do what you expected, crashes your computer, you get an error message?
It isn't performing the task when I switch it to look for the formula GXL.
What does GXL do/mean? Can you provide some sample data showing how it is used in your formulas?
