Colour function stopped working after one calculation

HI!

I have a spread sheet which is acting as a place to record staff holidays, absences which correspond to different colours etc.
I have made a column with all the days of 2016 and a row of names.
At the top I made a row which would act as a running tally of holidays taken for each person therefore it would only be counting the cells which are green and have a number entered in it. the formula in these cells look like: =colorfunction(G428,G65:G430,TRUE)
once I have turned one cell green it counts it which is great... however if I start entering more green cells it dismisses the previous calculation and starts over when it should be a running tally.

does anyone know how to fix this or have an alternative solution to only count certain cells in a column?

worked it out...
the cell must be filled first ( in my case green) before you enter a number. It will only add this way.

I have attached one sample file. check it out. then send the modification.
