How to replace drop down list filter to those normal excel filter?

Hi,

I just want to ask how can I replace the drop down list (from the data navigation function) to the normal excel data filter?

Attached the screenshot, that hopefully makes everyone understood.

I found the data validation drop down list are not user friendly, especially when I got more than 100 items to filter.
The normal data filter will give us option to search, or filter by typing the item code.
The data validation drop down list have to scroll one by one, ups and down in order to look for the item code.
I'm using the data validation to create a graph so that it can reflect the data whenever I select different item code.

Any idea how can I improvise this...?

I don't know if this needs macro coding, which is why I posted over here..
I'm assuming that it has to be via macro coding.
I'm absolutely know nothing about macro, hence, please bear with me my stupidity on this.


Please help, as I try to google, but it seems google don't understand what I'm looking for... :'(

How come when i double-click the cell that contain data validation list, nothing comes up?

I'm using excel 2010

Hi I'm attaching the spreadsheet for clearer example.

Cell D20 is where the drop-down list filter but there's drop down list has it's own limitation as in I can't find / search / type item hat I want to analyze.

Can someone further guide me how to set up the combobox or altervative way for filtering?

On top of that, I got another improvisation that I want to make.
How can we make the graph move from left to right, without scroll left to right and vice-versa?
is it possible to add one button, once you click it will slowly move the graph from left to right.... and another click, will back from the starting cell?
I don't know how you call it, it may call as animated graph... and I know this need programming.
I would also want to make the graph where the data point line will move like a real-time graph.....
