Question Linking combobox listfillrange with a server excel workbook

    Hello everyone!

So my problem stems from attempting to create a linked excel workbook with another workbook on a shared server at my company. Although I am able to successfully use normal formulas etc and refer to values on the shared workbook, it has proven near impossible to implement ComboBoxes in this due to the ListFillRange on these not allowing IP addresses and file locations to be included in the properties.

Am I overcomplicating this? Is there a much easier way to go about this?

If anyone has any idea on how to link ComboBoxes that can refer to data on a shared server excel workbook I would very much appreciate the input.

    Thanks in advance!

Can you import the required data into the workbook with the comboboxes?

Have considered using code to get the data from the shared workbook and then programmaticly populating the comboboxes?
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

    Hi Norie,

I need to keep the workbooks seperate due to the sensitivity of the information.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Norie,

I do not know the specific code to retrieve the data, nor do I know how to implement the ListFillRange for comboboxes on a shared workbook.
