UDF return #name

    UDF return #name

    I've a udf and it works fine.when I send the files to others it shows up as #value.they have to click on the enable macro to get it work.is there any way to fix it without enabling macro.

    My thoughts are to place the UDF into your personal macro workbook. Since a UDF is placed in a module, excel will constantly insist on enabled macros. If you place the code in the personal macro workbook, then you would not be asked to enable macros. Possibly creating an add-in as well would take care of the problem, still it would not be in the actual workbook. Probably just as easy to put it in the Personal Macro Workbook.
