Excel Macro to Import data (csv) into the Accounting System (Cloud base)

    Hi Excel Experts,

I am trying to figure out on how to create an excel macro that will automatically import the data(csv) into the accounting system (Cloud base). Is this possible?

Currently, I have to login into the accounting system and drill it down until I arrive at the import button which will take enough of my time. In this regard, I would like to ask your kind help if this is possible and what are the factors that I'm going to consider in order to shorten the current process I have.

Thanks for your inputs and any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    Warmest regards,
    Arnel

    Hi arnel,

In newer versions of Excel this process is improved. The new feature is called "Power Query" in 2010 and 2013 and "Get & Transform" in 2016 Excel. Read about it at:

    http://exceleratorbi.com.au/combine-...s-power-query/

There are lots of web examples on importing data (of all types) using Power Query on the web.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

It depends on your accounting system setup. You need to find out what options do you have. It might be possible to use SQL if your system data base supports relational database. Your system might have add-in. Where excel could help you is to organise your data which are suitable for imports.
