Hi all,

I read something about opening excel through an application (like CCH Prosystems Engagement audit software e.g.) that causes the excel to not see the macros you created. This appear to be the case. When I open an excel doc through this application, I can't see anything. When I open one up then from the desktop, with that already open, I can't see anything. If I close my "Engagement"(tm) file, and reopen one from desktop, I can see them all again and use them. I've learned how to save as an add in, and install the add in in my engagement excel. That seemed to work in the past, but I don't remember how I did it and I don't have a lot of time. I saved some brief but powerful macros as an add in, checked the box for using that add in in my engagement file. Worked in the past. In fact I moved some of them to the quick access toolbar (QAT) and the shortcuts seem to have stuck with them. Right now though I can't see the option for moving them to the QAT and I have macros selected under the dropdown. Ideally I'd just want to be able to call them with a keyboard shortcut. They are not showing in the view macros box, because nothing ever shows there, when I open from Engagement.

This is beyond annoying, and when I try to do the shortcut, I get the bing of death (those annoying decibels hitting my eardrum). I don't have much time to do this right now but I hope to figure it out later. I'm just super annoyed, and there's not a lot of literature on the subject. Anyone else have similar experience with macros where you don't work directly with excel from your directories but from other applications of different sorts? Danke in advance
