    Personnel Scheduler and Appointment Management

    Hello All,

So have tried and tried to find a great product or template out there that will do what I need but have found nothing. I am not new to excel and have a lot of experience but not much when it comes to VBA. Below is what I am trying to accomplish.

    1. Personnel roster with whatever I need to add and used as reference for drop downs.

    2. Weekly/Monthly scheduler with automated conditioning for appointments and shifts (Days, Swings, Mids)

    3. Appointment scheduler for above.

    4. Daily roster that reflects the above information like "Days Shift contains these people and they have these appointments" that can be printed to one sheet.

    Any help would be great.

Re: Personnel Scheduler and Appointment Management

This is a help forum. There is no need to waste space in your thread title saying that you need help!

Show us what you have mocked up so far. Nobody is going to build all this for you from scratch! Attach a sample Excel workbook.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Hi srodge and welcome to the forum,

Microsoft Outlook seems like something you should examine before going to Excel VBA for your question. What requirements do you have that Outlook can't do?
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

My current constraints is that I have 75 people and they do not use Outlook on a regular basis. I have attached my idea roughly.

The main problem is the amount of computers available to them and the constant changes.
