Is conditional formatting of a Treemap Chart even possible?

    Hello everyone,

I'm new to VBA and in a part my thesis I have to write a VBA script in Excel that creates a treemap chart and changes the color of the squares based on a value.

To be more accurate, the data is disposed on 3 columns. The first contains the label name, the second the value that defines the area of the rectangle in the treemap and the third the value that defines the color of the rectangle.

The problem is that even if you can do a treemap in Office 2016, isn't a supported chart in VBA, and I don't know if what I want to do is even possible. And if is possible, how can I do it?

Even knowing if it is possible or not would be an huge help, thanks!

Re: Is conditional formatting of a Treemap Chart even possible?

I came across this post while looking for a way to make a heat map for my stocks. I have three columns. Symbol, value, and % change for day. I am able to make a tree map with squares for each stock the size of the cost basis but I would like to have conditional coloring of the squares from red to green based on the % change for the day. Is this possible? I'm using Office 365. Thanks for any help.
