Talking Formula to add new value to previous value in one cell without using a list

    Hi!

I work with 3D-printers and I want to keep track of how much material has been used after every print in total so that I eventually get a notification that I need to either change materials or buy a new one. The printer gives before each print the amount of material it's gonna use so I just want to use an excel table where I just have to write this number on a cell and the cell automatically adds it to the previous value it had, that way I don't have to write a whole column of values and then add it to have an end result.

In a nutshell, I'm trying to figure out a way to programm a cell in excel that given a value, it saves and shows the value given but when you give another value in the same cell it adds it to the previous value and shows then the sum.

    For example

Cell = 5, then you write 5 in the same cell --> cell = 10 now --> you write 5 again --> cell =15 and so on.

Hope you guys can help me or point me towards the right thread where I can find my answer :D

Re: Need help with a formula

A mod will be along shortly to say something like your subject thread should describe in a more technical detail what the problem is and then asking noone to reply until the thread has been edited. Take a look at what others put in their subject.

    See Rule 1

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

I've never edited a thread title before and I can't go through the process without creating a thread.
This is from a mod's request for the same thing yesterday.
