Format (highlight) cells with date AND other text if equals TODAY
I am trying to set up excel to format (highlight) any cells that contain todays date. These cells also have other text in them so the usual formatting options haven't worked for me. How would I go about doing this? Please see the example. Screenshot 2022-04-08 075838.png

is each text in a row on its own
so the first character on a row is 4/11
then the next row has 4/13
is it assumed this is always current Year ?
and October would be 4th October would be
10/04
OR 10/4
in M/D for format
Note: Images are difficult to see , and also requires that I input all the data myself, which is very time consuming.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. For a new thread (1st post), scroll to Manage Attachments, otherwise scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

where A1 is the upper-left cell for the Applies To range for the rule. Update to suit. This assumes there will be a space after the date.
Sample attached (I think). The text in each row will be on its own. The first 3 to 5 characters would be the date and 10/4 would be the format that I'm going for. The idea is that this would be a quick and easy visual reminder for large jobs with many components. Thanks.

No, it is not correct. You write a CF formula by referencing the cell you want to format as the upper-left cell in the range. So if you are applying this rule to A28:H37, you will refer to cell A28:
