    Excel settings Macro - the macro may not be available in this workbook

    I havent been working for while with vba and it seems Excel has changed.

    Created a button (not activeX) and assigned macro to it

    the macro may not be available in this workbook

    - trust settings (ticked off)
    enabled vba macro's (not recommended potential dangerous blabla)
    enabled Excel macros when vba macros are enabled
    Trust access to vba project object model

    - File block Settings
    Excel 4 workbooks
    Excel 4 3 2 worksheets
    Excel 4 3 2 macro sheets addin-files
    - Open Selected file types in protected view and allow editing. ticked off

    - ActiveX settings -> Enable all potential dangerous balbal) + Safe mode ticked off

    - Protected view
    first two not

    - Messagebar
    Show the message bar in all apps active content etc

    What am i missing here to get this working? So stupid such simple thing does work..
    I mean did Excel (365 MSO 64bit) change that much?

    Do you have a macro called macroname? If not, the error is caused by your OnTime call.

    yeah i noticed that as well ;-) Sorry for late reply, been on holiday.

    This is still funny, getting still the same message. "The macro may not be available etc." Trustcenters are fine, code works running it via the module. Assign the same code to the button you get that message.. its not an activeX button...

    What is the exact error message - specifically which macro is mentioned?

    Yep.. that was it.. my goodness. Shoot indeed i changed that naming convention... such stupid noob thing.
