is it possible to create an excel file with string of clickable text in windows explorer

    Hi,
So basically what I am trying to do is, I have string of texts (product SKUs in this case), examples

    column A
    MEN-TESTNAME-LRG-BLK

is it possible in excel file to click on this value and it automatically searches and opens a file located at certain folder with the same name in this case TESTNAME? how realistic is this.

I print t-shirts and I am using web based program where I have list of sold items, in order to print certain artwork on certain product, I have to manually search TESTNAME for every single product in that folder open it and send to the machine. willing to pay if someone wants to help
    thanks!

This may not be hard with a little more detail. In column B you can use the HYPERLINK function to map the text string to an actual file name. Here is what we need:

    1. Give the algorithm for extracting the file name out of the SKU. Is it always the text after the first hyphen and before the second?
    2. Give the full path for the folder where the files are located
    3. Is TESTNAME the full name of the fill you want to open? Or is there an extension like TESTNAME.png?
    4. If you are using a web-based program, how is clicking a link in Excel going to send the file to the machine?

    Hi,
thanks for your reply! in web based program, I am copy pasting that TESTNAME in Windows explorer search bar pulling up that TESTNAME file which has extension of .arxp, opening it and sending to the machine, I do not know how to speed up this process, so that either from webbased program (Shipstation.com) or maybe export all my orders in Excel file and try to do something with excel.

You did not answer any of my four questions.

What does "opening it and sending to the machine" mean? In Windows Explorer, when you click on a file it uses the application for that file to open the file. I have never seen this work for a web-based program. Is this actually a File Open dialog initiated by the web app, not Windows Explorer?
