Hi. I’m using Excel 2021 and Windows 11. Both are up to date. I’m copying data from a webpage. The macros are pasting the data and then deleting unneeded rows. The macros are working as they are supposed to work. My problem is the buttons to run the macros.
I’ve inserted form buttons. I’ve assigned macros to the buttons. I’ve formatted the buttons to not move or size with the cells, and to be 1 X 5 cm in size. Most buttons (one doesn’t) change to a dark colour and remain a dark colour when clicked. It doesn’t matter whether I was in design mode or not. Also, when I save and close, and reopen the workbook, most buttons, other than that one, all move down to about row 100, and resize to a line for height. One time, that one button that is working properly resized to about 69 cm high when the workbook was opened.
I’ve tried command buttons. I’ve “called” the macros to the buttons, with the names justifying to the macro names. I’ve formatted these buttons to not move or size with the cells. I’ve set the properties to the buttons for a set width, height, and location from left and top. Upon saving, closing and reopening the workbook, the bottom 3 buttons are moved down about 100 rows, or more. Also, the first button seems to work all the time, while the other buttons usually don’t work after using the first button. I am NOT in design mode.
I have another workbook where the form button works as it should.
I’ve copied the relevant information into a new workbook, including the macro code. I’ve set up new buttons. No change.
Why are the buttons moving when the workbook is saved, closed and reopened? How do I stop it?
Why are the form buttons changing to a dark colour and how do I stop this from happening?
Why are the command buttons not running the macros when clicked?
TIA
Zookz
