Lightbulb How to reset Find Dialog Box

    Hi forum experts,
    1- Open an excel file.
2- Press CTRL + F to open Find Dialog Box.
3- Type "something" into the box.
4- Look below and see Sheet is default there.
    5- Change Sheet to Workbook.
6- Then click Find All button to find "something" in the workbook. (It is not important if "something" is found or not)
7- Then close Find Dialog Box.

8- Press CTRL + F to open Find Dialog Box again.
9- Type "something" into the box.
10- Look below and see Workbook is default there. (It is default because of your last operation above)

That means, if you change something on Find Dialog Box, excel remember this changing...
    But I dont want this.
I want to see Sheet whenever I open Find Dialog Box.

How can I reset Find Dialog Box ?

Then just change Workbook to Sheet in the dropdown.

Re: How to reset Find Dialog Box

If you are going to change all the settings on the find box, why does it matter what they are initially?
If you aren't going to change them all, then the last used setting should be a help.

You can set the defaults that you want by invoking the box with code.

Re: How to reset Find Dialog Box

Mac used to have the two tab style of Ctrl-F.

There is the button that will switch from the Find(only) dialog box to the Replace.
