    Making cells dynamic

    Promotions Example.xlsx

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that i'm wanting to send out to a lot of people.

    I have attached the spreadsheet.

Instead of having 7 different boxes that they could type into - i want to make it so that if they type into one, another below appears, so that it doesnt take up all of that space if say they only wanted to add two promotions. Does this make sense? There could be from 1 promotion to 30 promotions.

How exactly do you want things to be dynamic?

    Is it the formatting?

For example, if the user only enters data on 3 rows only those 3 rows are formatted.

I want it so that only those 3 rows are shown, so if there are only 3 promotions then these rows are the only ones shown. If there are 2, only 2 are shown. Does that make sense?

    Sorry I don't quite follow.

Surely if there are 3 promotions then 3 rows will be shown/visible, 2 promotions 2 rows shown/visible,

Yes there will, but i don't want the user to have to delete or add rows themselves.

So if there was the heading, there would only be one space underneath it to add a promotion to - but if they needed two - it would automatically add another one below it - as to not take up space by having 7 cells below to add the data into.

Isn't the user adding the data themselves?

Yes, but it's supposed to be user-friendly and do everything for them. That's how it works around here! Haha.

Sorry you've kind of lost me now.

What is it that's supposed to happen for the user?

For example, lets say the user opens the file and enters 2 promotions, what happens next?

As far as I can see that's pretty close to what I suggested, the only difference being the blank row at the bottom.
