AutoFit Row Height for merged cells

First, I know you can't autofit row height on merged cells. I also know wrapping text won't autofit the row height if you've manually adjusted the height, and I can't use this method anyways since my cells HAVE to be merged. With that said, I have 8 rows that I need to autofit. The cells in each row are merged. So I have A1:H1, A2:H2, etc, A1:H1 being merged into 1 cell, and so on. The length of the text will vary extensively from row to row, so I need to wrap it and then autofit the row height. However, it appears this is pretty much impossible. Does anyone have any ideas? Been tinkering with this for a while and having no luck
