Count and list text occurrences

Welcome to the forums. I suggest you take at the "Forum Rules" as an early activity, it will possibly save you from the wrath of the "moderators" who struggle daily to keep us all in line

It is always a really good idea to post a sample spreadsheet with your requests showing your starting position and your expected results.

Most of us volunteers (of varying skills and experience) work better with a spreadsheet in front of us.

Again, welcome, we are happy to help but please post an example spreadsheet to work with (and remember to sanitise out any really sensitive data )

the data in the sample don't actually give me a sense of what you are trying to do... can you be a bit more explicit (just imagine a business analyst was asking you "so exactly what are you trying to do"

if I understand you from the second spreadsheet and your explanation you posted:

1. rows 1 thru 4 are basically ignored yes/no?
2. row 5 is the only row you are interested in yes/no?

3. you are trying to count instances of cells in row 5 that are the same so vl1 = 2, vl2 = 1, vl3 = 1 etc

4. if the individual counts are less than a magic number (say 6 as in your post) then somewhere you want a true/false flag recorded? (where would you expect to see "True" or "False" shown??

Sorry again if I seem a bit slow but your posts and spreadsheet do not give me a clear sense of what you are trying to achieve
