links to external xls files in cells need to be dynamically changed

for example say I have 3 external xls files (1.xls, 2.xls, 3.xls).
on my main sheet I have 3 cells (A1, A2, A3).

going through a directory list routine these external file names will change.

I need to reset/change the links in the cells on the fly.

This code lists all files as hyper-link in sheets(1)

what it was doing is not working while in the same loop as I was opening
external files and grabbing cell info from them.

I ended up making a 2nd loop afterwards and creating the links from there.

works fine, so far.
