Hello all,
(My bad for posting in the wrong section, I didn't see this one.)
My work uses google sheets only for our data entry. I have googled for days, and tried to search the forums here but don't quite know what the keywords should/would be.
I am looking to see if there is a way to create a reference database sheet where I can input a product name and price so that anytime I enter said product in a cell on a different sheet (random based on when it's used) it will automatically take the price from the reference database sheet and put it in the required cell
So let's say I have 50 different products and each cost a different amount. On day 1 I use 13 of those products so I enter the product in column A and I want the price to automatically populate in column K regardless of which row I enter the product data on.
Ex.
Product 1 entering in A1, A3, A5, A9 price automatically populates in K1, K3, K5, AND K9, then day 2 I only use product 1 once and it is entered in A25, so the cost of the product automatically populates K25.
I hope this makes sense
Is this possible to do in google sheets or just in excel, or is it even possible to do it at all?
