I always see people attempting to copy/paste directly from Excel, or making an attempt to create a table using text and spaces. While it is understandable that sometimes uploading a spreadsheet isn't possible, there are ways to make it very easy to post examples other than screenshots (which are not useful in most situations, because the data can't be manipulated)
So here is how to make it easier in those cases:
Here is a screenshot of what my table looks like:

Simple table of cars.
Here is what happens when I copy/paste it directly into Excelforum.
Make Color Year Mileage
Honda Red 2003 58,893
Toyota Blue 2004 67,276
Jeep Blue 2003 26,877
Ford Blue 2002 49,992
Ford Red 2005 21,935
Toyota Blue 2000 92,505
Ford Orange 2004 32,857
Ford Blue 2001 79,588
Pontiac Blue 2004 35,343
Toyota Orange 2005 20,511
Honda Blue 2005 87,036
Honda Orange 2003 27,791
Now, that isn't particularly useful, especially if there are spaces in the data.
If you post it and wrap it in Code tags, it gets much easier to read:
This can be converted into a table in excel very easily by first pasting into Notepad, then copying from notepad and pasting into Excel. Text to columns will work in some cases too, if there are no spaces in the sets of data
