    New CODE tags rendering?

I have seen threads with code where the code block is different than what I've seen since I joined. Instead of being in a scrollable box, the code is set off by a vertical green line and has line numbers.

Is it a bug or a feature?

    Jeff,
Don't recall seeing this. Do you have a thread to look at?

On further experimentation I believe this is a side effect of an add-in that I got from Kyle123 but I thought it was just supposed to add color tags when you post new code. I didn't think it was supposed to change how anything looked once posted.

You can turn it off in the extension options. I updated the thread in the water cooler where I posted the link to the extension saying why this was done - it simply adds syntax highlighting to posts regardless of who posted it.

To turn it off, right click the icon in chrome, select options, scroll down to personal highlighting, turn off and save changes

Ps this new thing doesn't actually change your posts, no one else sees this new highlighting unless the extension is installed - that's why you can turn it on or off easily ( that and it would be rude to change how you perceive the forum without some way of changing it )

. That is a very important point, I feel, which I for one missed. But you are talking here about that newest bit, correct? – ( the numbers in a Left hand margin? (the code set off by a vertical green line and has line numbers. ) )
    .
. The Pretty colors are seen by the OP even without him using his extension, ( If he has one at the time ). This certainly appears the case to me when I am viewing and do not have an extension at the time.
    . correct?
    .
( I feel a perversion to the OP of that kind is acceptable )
    .
. Possibly worth mentioning the above point in the your Thread which discusses your extensions
    .
. Thanks again for letting us use your colorful Tool, Kyle.

Yes, will do. It's explained in the settings, but probably not well enough in the thread - I'll start a new thread that gives the current state so the updates don't get lost in discussion
