Seperating theresult of the Pivot table by years

    Hi,

I would like to know how to sort the pivot table by each year.
I have attached a file for better explanation.

I have a list of companies with dates and shipping fee cost.
I know how to create a pivot table to see the TOTAL amount of the shipping cost for each company.
But what I would like to do is to see how much shipping cost each company had by each year.

So instead of the TOTAL amount I can see the shipping cost for 2010 or 2012.

Could someone please explain to me how I can sort the table by each year?

    Thank you.

    Thank you AlKey,

This is exactly what I wanted to do.
But how did you add the label "Quarters" and "Years" into the "Pivot Field List"?

    Hi artner,

You right click on any of the dates in the pivot and then click on "GROUP". That will bring up the options for how you want to group your dates.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Thank you Marvin, Although I still can't make it look good as AlKey version of the Pivot table, I now know how to separate them by the year.
