Need help building out a pivot table for the attached data

Hello!

I need help with the attached report draft -

I'm trying to pull up count of items by status (column R - "Data" tab) organized by DMM (column B - "Data" tab) into the first tab ("Summary" where all the statuses are in the top row) but I'm not sure about the best way to go about this. Should I build a pivot table and vlookup the counts? Is there a simpler way? Please see file attached and let me know if you have any questions.
