Can this data be displayed visually in pivot table?

I've gotten some really good help here lately, so I thought I'd ask you guys on this as well. I am trying to figure out a good way to visually display the following data. Basically, there are a bunch of forms, and they have redundant information. We are combining the forms depending on their area and merging the redundancies into templates.

So in my attached example, I have Document 1 that goes into 4 templates, but then document 6 for instance only goes into one template. Then I have another tab where I'd like the data to be automatically updated (pivot table somehow?) to show me in a visual way the data that is in table format for now.

Is this doable? And if anyone has alternate suggestions on how to make this look better I'd be all ears. I'm also interested in knowing stuff like in the templates how many forms are unique and how many are shared between templates.

I was googling stuff like "differentiate separate items within excel cell for pivot table" but none of that was working.

PT is not designed for what you want to do. Read here: Overview of PivotTable
Maybe it would be possible with PowerPivot or PowerQuery (with DataModel) but I don't think so

    Hi jodo,

You need to break out your second column using Text to Columns and then "UnPivot" your data to look like my sheet1. Then look at how a Pivot Table is done from there. See the attached.
