    Chart - Condensing timeline

I have downloaded this template and started to populate but the horizontal axis scroll is far greater than needed.

I need period of 28/08/17 - 31/03/18. How to I change the end date?

Bonus points if I can condense the data more or remove Sat/Sun.

    Thanks!

scroll bar length can be controlled by setting the maximum
    currently its set to 500
to condense it end of march 2018 make it roughly ~188

the weekend thing...not too sure...this is a rather complex beast to understand exactly what is going on where
did the template not come with instructions?

    Re: Chart - Condensing timeline

right click on the scroll bar itself until you see format control....might take a few clicks to get the right item

now condensing the weekends off is plausible but then you have to re calibrate the whole graph to read a plausible 3 months at one time (as 30 data points within 3 months is possible if weekends are taken off)....that's a whole lot of fiddling around if you want to head down that route

alternatively chop off the amount of data points that can appear in the chart to say 22 instead of 30
this does make it slightly buggy with the month labels but its an easier fix than trying to configure the chart with 3 potential months

No thanks, that was just a hopeful wish if easy.
Not worth the effort for what I am doing.

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: Chart - Condensing timeline

i made some alternations to the file in the calc sheet

F31 is now a formula (then fill right of course)
    Formula: copy to clipboard

then i change The "day dot line" horizontal axis label data in the chart itself to point to =calcs!$E$72:$AH$72 instead of the hard fixed number it had previously

also hiding using the "grouping" to take off the said ~8 data points in previous post seems to yield a somewhat usable sheet
^this does make the month label buggy for certain days im sure this can be fixed but....didnt find it readily
