Plotting values on chart using full x-axis

    Hi,

For work i'm making an excel file that can graph values.
I'm having a really weird problem that the graph gets plotted from 20% to 80% of the x-axis.
It refuses to use the full chartsurface. How can i fix this?

    Kind regards

    Hi,

I think you need to provide a workbook for us to determine why that is happening.

    To attach a sample workbook:

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

You probably have horizontal scale Min and Max properties set to automatic. Excel is making sure all the data points are within the plot area and using the data to calculate estimated min and max values.

If you want the data points to touch the edges you will need to alter the min/max values.

    Hi,

I did have this set to automatic.
I tried changing the values to the min and max that i have but it doesn't work either.
I also wrote a macro to do this but still with a weird outcome.
I made a workbook with the data, graph and macro.

    Thanks for your responses!

Re: Plotting values on chart using full x-axis

If you set the min and max to the min and max of the category data it works.

    Min 43020.4875
    Max 43020.51319

Note that the chart is based on $A$19:$A$56 whilst the block of data is actually $A$19:$A$138

It looks like your minimum value for the axis should be set to 43020.4875 which is the value of 12/10/2017 11:42.
