New to Pivot Tables

I don't generally use pivot tables and am wondering how to separate the data out of the attached sample file. The actual file will have more than 500 line entries. What I need is the total QTY per DATE so I can graph the use per day for the entire year. I have shown a small sample of what I want to end up with.

Lift Date in Rows (ungroup if necessary) and Qty in Values.
