    Grade Value Outcome
    E10 0 I would like to use the formula to look up if column A = 0 then the value is correct?

    i would like use vlookup to if column A = E10 Then column B is 0

    I think you need to upload a sample sheet so we can see what you're looking at.
    Where do the numbers come from in B?

    At the moment, from what you've said, you don't need a vlookup.
    In B3 (for row 3): =IF(A3="E10",0, formula in B3 before this)
