Question How to make a formula for increasing value X on date Y

Hello,

I would like to know if any of you maybe can come up with an example for a formula for the following question:

I need to regulate some property rent on the following basis: The rent increases with a percentage each eg. march, can i make a formula and put in the entire excel sheet which can see if it is the correct month, and then calculate the new and increased rent? (The sheet shows every month for the next 10-20 years which is the reason why i would like a formula which can do it), and i would like to see if it is possible to make a function (possibly an IF function???) which will solve mt problem.

Re: Multiple funcitions

To elaborate my qustion:

I am stuck in january 2016 on my sheet and need the following to happen:

When i reach march i need one of the apartments rent to increase with 2,5% (but not before march). The exact same thing needs to happen when i reach march 2017, then the new rent (from 2016) needs to be increased with another 2,5% is it possible to make a formula for this?

Re: Multiple funcitions

The answer's yes but without seeing the spreadsheet it's impossible to tell how to accomplish this.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I would prefer if the formula also were able to look at the year it the rent starts if there is comming anyone else to rent it in lets say 2018,
then it should "return" to the first ammount (or whatever there is decided in the contract at that point). Howover, thank you for the reply regarding the file.
It should be attached now
