    Re: Conditional formatting rule

    Hi sms1432,

In CF choose "New Rule" then choose "Use a Formula"
Then use this formula =$Q2="C" and apply it to your Range of cells / Table.

    Regards

    Re: Conditional formatting rule

A slight mod to Sandy's formula...

    Conditional Formatting
    • Highlight applicable range >> E5:Q200
    • Home Tab >> Styles >> Conditional Formatting >> New Rule
    • Select a Rule Type: Use a formula to determine which cells to format
    • Edit the Rule Description: Format values where this formula is true: =AND($Q5="C",ISNUMBER($E5))
    • Format… [Number, Font, Border, Fill]
    • OK >> OK

You could even adjust your range to what it might be such as, A2:Y400

If you are wanting just E5 and Q5 to be highlighted, and not other cells, then you need to apply conditional formatting specifically to each cell.
