Locking cells to protect formulas only

What is the easiest way to lock a cell so that the formula cannot be edited, but the worksheet is still editable.

For example, you have numbers down column A to like A200, then on A201 you have a sum function, after you do it once, you want to clear all those 200 numbers and enter different ones. It is easiest to just select column A and clear contents, but that would erase your sum function in a201. Does that make sense?

You could put the sum function in Column B

HA. Yes that would be real easy.

I'm guessing there is really nothing else? In case I had Column A-F filled out, and the sum function at the bottom of each.

I really don't know. Probably possible, but over my pay-grade. When I see downloadable budgets and stuff like that online, they usually just say "Don't delete these columns."

I think you could definitely do it with VBA. Again, above my paygrade.
