Protect cells with formulas SEPARATE from other protected cells

I am using some complicated formulas in my Excel workbook. Other supervisors need to access the data, but not the formulas. The sheet is protected by a password, but when the password is entered, the other supervisors can access all cells and sometimes accidently delete or overwrite the formulas.

I would like to protect the formulas cells separately from protection of the data cells. I want the formulas still protected even when the other supervisors enter a password that allows them to manipulate data in other cells.

Hope I explained that correctly. Any help appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

You can hide the formulas by selecting the cells you want to protect and then right click then format cells, protection, and check the box next to "Hidden".

Re: Protect cells with formulas SEPARATE from other protected cells

I understand that. My issue is keeping them protected while allowing a different password for the other cells that need to be changed. Example; this is a schedule. The schedule contains people on special details, vacation, training etc. The formulas add the diffent categories so we know where everyone is, but I still need to have the ability to allow another supervisor to change a cell (let's say from vacation to sick day) without being able to accidently change a cell with a formula.

Hope that explains it better. Thanks for the answer though.

    HTML Code:
After you 'hide' the formulas you can then select the cells you want the other people to be able to modify and on the same 'Protection' tab, un-check the "Locked" box
