Evening all,
I'm new here so permit me to start by apologising if I am posting this in the wrong section.
On with the show.
Attached to this post is some data that I am trying to analyse and interpret to present to my Operations Manager at work.
For you to better understand my request it would be prudent for me to explain what the data actually is and what it represents by explaining where I use it whilst working.
As a supervisor in an electronic manufacturing company, in my job role one of the things I am tasked with is to find new ways to identify performance issues with the employees who report to me. One of the things I am looking at is how much stock is wasted on a weekly basis by the production teams. In raw data, this is achieved by the use of requisition forms that I have designed. The idea behind this is that when an operator has run out of a certain component, they fill in a requisition form and hand it to the warehouse department. The form will contain certain information such as the name of the operator, the type of component they are requesting, the reason they are requesting more (lost, damaged, not enough issued to them to start with, etc) and the department within production that the operator is from.
What I would eventually love to be able to see is a breakdown of the raw data. Ideally I would like it to be able to show how many times an operator is losing parts, damaging parts, or whether not enough are being supplied to them in the first place. (based on the columns in the spreadsheet)
The problem is that I've tried a few different graphs and charts but I am not familiar with customising them to show the information I want.
It could be that Excel is not the tool to use for this but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards.
Edit: For Data Protection I have changed each of the operators names into a letter of the alphabet. Normally these letters would be an actual name.
