    Insert word document keep hyperlinks live prevent editing

    Is there a way to insert a word document into an excel sheet where the hyerlinkslinks in the word document remain live, but preventing someone double clicking on the document to open the MS Word window/ edit it?

    If you insert a Word document into an Excel workbook, the only way to access its content is by activating Word. You could make the document read-only and/or apply editing restrictions to all but the hyperlink before inserting it into Excel.
