Hello,
I've tried doing this with conditional formatting as its standard basic function and using 'based on formula', but it's not quite behaving as I need.
I'm rostering personnel, on various positions/stations on an event, I want to paste a name into a box and for it to highlight historically where they have been placed before. Simplified version as images below. Attached actual excel contains a version of my roster (with fake names) but more complicated than image examples as there are about 30 stations they can be placed at.
The work pool is approx 60 ppl strong, and 30 on per shift. with staff rotating in and out of the pool on a weekly basis so to quickly see at a glance what track/position they have done before is super helpful.
Highlight duplicates will (obviously) highlight every dup, so doesn't help me as I only want to see where one value has been placed. I tried playing around with only particular sections to dup but I can't quite get it to work.
Is this a simple conditional format query I feel it might actually be a coding thing?
I'm sure I've left some detail out here, please shout, Hopefully someone can help me.
Thank you
