Need help to create Excel Graphs with Data Sheet
My teacher gave us a graph she derived from an excel file and told us to create a list of steps on how to produce the same graph with the Excel data sheet given. How do I even get started? I'm new to Excel ;(

I know it is frustrating to get stuck on a homework problem. You might be somewhat new to Excel, but I cannot believe that this is a pre-class exercise for the very first class for people who have never even touched a spreadsheet. I have to believe that you have had several class periods with several homework assignments before this, so you must know something about using a spreadsheet.
You show a raw database of information, and your questions are asking you to draw some summary conclusions from that database. What tools and/or functions are you familiar with for extracting information from a database or for summarizing information in a database? You show a chart that you are supposed to create based on that extracted/summarized information. What tools and strategies are you familiar with for creating charts in a spreadsheet?

This is my first time hearing pivot tables. I decided to test it out using the link you provided, and I managed to get something similar! Just need a way to add the total amount in $ on top of each bar.Attachment 846933
