Placing and replacing a value

I have an excel spreadsheet. In cells D6, D7, D8 are values. I want to add the value in D8 (the last value in the D column) to cell D35. The next time when the next cell D9 has a value, I want that value to be placed in cell D35 replacing the value from D8 and so on.
