survey calculation

Hey..

It seems almost impossible to find any solution to my problem on the net, so im trying my luck here..

im new to excel so bare with me..

to my problem then...

im trying to collect data from a survey from sheet 1 and then transfer and sort them to sheet 2
i want a total sum how many times number 1 is chosen, number 2 is chosen, number 3 is chosen.. up to 6..

is there a way to get the data (the X's) from sheet 1 and then transfered to sheet 2 but as number 1 and then calculated all in all together to a sum..

i hope i make sence..
