Returning value of cells based on another cells background colour

Hi,

I currently have a sheet with dates across the top and numbers down the left side, Is there a way so that if somebody makes a cell red, I can pull the date from column 1 of that row and the number from row 1?

Ideally I would like to output this to another sheet but that bit is easy if I can get the main part done.

I am on my phone at the minute hence the hasty explanation but I will update once I get home if this doesn't make sense.
