Need a formula to show start date and completion date as percentage complete

Hello all
I have a spread sheet that tracks start date, completion date and duration of task, what in would like to do is show in percentage how far we are through a task.
For example the start date would be 0% complete and the completion date would be 100% complete.
I have one cell (A)with a start date the next cell (B)is completion date and the next cell (C)is duration of the task the cell next to that (D) is where I would like the percentage complete to show.

Any help would be great fully received

You could try the following formula:

Put that in D1 and copy down. Format the cells D1 down as %.

The Min(today(),B1) ensures that if you look at tasks with a completion date that has passed it doesn't give you a completion date above 100%.

Seems to give me a very large percentage 3926906% date I have in the cells are 05/09/2014 completion date 26/09/2014 duration 16 days but I get the percentage above as the final result.
Any ideas

I've uploaded a sheet with the formulas and some data - perhaps this may help to clarify the discrepancy that we get.

As you are using working days in your example if changed the formula to use the NETWORKDAYS() function.
